AIA TAP + AI TASKFORCE SYMPOSIUM, AIA26
At AIA26 in San Diego, SketchPro was selected to present a case study on the main stage of the AIA's TAP + AI Taskforce Symposium. I presented with co-founder and CEO, Andre Turati. We shared what we're seeing across our partner firms: how AI embedded directly in Revit is changing architectural documentation, and what it takes to move from experimentation to real adoption.
AIASF AI DESIGN SYMPOSIUM 2026
At AIASF's AI Design Symposium in March 2026, I presented the SketchPro copilot with co-founder and CEO Andre Turati. We shared how our partner firms are leveraging our platform to increase efficiency, improve quality, and unlock new opportunities. The day brought designers, firm leaders, and technologists to the Center for Architecture + Design for panels and workshops on how AI is changing practice.
AI FOR ARCHITECTS, ELVTR CLASS 2026
In 2026, I taught a hands-on workshop on AI in BIM for ELVTR's AI for Architects course, a program for practicing architects led by Jacob Russo and Matt Turlock. We worked through live Revit models and real project workflows, and SketchPro returned the following semester as the course's featured AI for Revit tool.
AIASF DESIGN TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM 2022
On November 10, 2022, I presented at The Future of Design Technology + Practice Symposium, hosted by AIA San Francisco's Design Technology Committee and the Center for Architecture + Design at the Autodesk Gallery in San Francisco.
As a representative of SOM, I gave a presentation on the computational workflows behind tall tower design, drawing on the firm’s legacy in digital design and my work in facade rationalization and workflow automation.
THE ROUTLEDGE COMPANION TO AI IN ARCHITECTURE 2021
Through SOM's Year 1 program, I supervised the research behind the SOM Urban Development Predictor and co-led its publication. Using San Francisco's development pipeline data, we built a machine learning model that predicts which properties are most likely to be developed.
The research was published in The Routledge Companion to Artificial Intelligence in Architecture, edited by Imdat As and Prithwish Basu (Routledge, 2021).
CHICAGO ARCHITECTURE BIENNIAL 2021
For the 2021 Chicago Architecture Biennial, ArchAgenda Debates dedicated a session to leaders from across SOM's global practice. I represented SOM and presented the machine learning research I supervised with my colleague Grant Cogan.
ADVANCING COMPUTATIONAL BUILDING DESIGN 2019
On July 29-31, 2019, I presented at Advancing Computational Building Design 2019 in Chicago, IL.
As a representative of SOM, I presented a session called "Leveraging Computation Software to Save Time in Conceptual Design Modeling."
My talk was centered around SOM’s expertise in Tall Tower Design, and the computational workflow the firm has developed to generate quick design iterations, optimize designs, and seamlessly transfer data between software platforms.
TURNER FLEISHER ARCHITECTS PRESENTATION 2019
On September 27, 2019, I was invited to present to Turner Fleisher Architects in Toronto, Canada. I shared my presentation “Computational Modeling for Tall Tower Concept Design” from Advancing Computational Building Design 2019.

ADVANCING COMPUTATIONAL BUILDING DESIGN 2018
On July 23-25, 2018, I participated in Advancing Computational Building Design 2018.
As a representative of SOM, I spoke on a panel titled "Hearing How Designers Are Finding the Time to Develop Computation Tools and Ensuring the Time Savings Are Greater Than the Investment."
I was joined by two other digital design leaders to discuss topics including task automation, the design of computational tools, and the process for identifying effective tools.
